The Unit lands ex-FanDuel head as new commercial chief
Fiona Power moves to the supplier after leaving Flutter-owned brand in December and launching her own boutique consultancy business
The Unit has added former FanDuel exec Fiona Power as its new chief commercial officer, as the supplier aims to “further expand its client and partner network in the US and internationally.”
Power recently departed FanDuel, where she spent seven years, after moving to the US sports betting and igaming giant from sister brand Paddy Power.
Originally working within the retail department, Power climbed the commercial ranks at the Flutter Entertainment-owned business to become senior director of strategic partnerships.
Since leaving FanDuel, Power founded the Power Room Éire Partnerships and Advisory consultancy.
She moved to Paddy Power in 2013 following a stint with KPMG Ireland.
Before heading to New Jersey to join FanDuel, she was serving as the Irish bookmaker’s head of retail security and loss prevention.
Power will retain her role at the Power Room Éire Partnerships and Advisory alongside her new position at The Unit.
As commercial chief, she will be responsible for partnership development, identifying new and emerging verticals and supporting international expansion.

Power joins The Unit’s co-founder Paddy Casey and chief revenue officer Mark O’Hare at the top of the business. Former Novomatic and BetDEX head Alan Bruce is COO.
Casey, a former Grand Parade head, launched The Unit in 2017.
Power said: “I’ve known The Unit and its reputation in the industry for some time, and I’ve been very impressed by the growth of the business and the high quality of its output.
There is a real depth of betting and gaming expertise across its hubs in Europe and the US, combined with a strong track record for solving complex challenges for operators.
“I’m excited to work alongside Paddy, Mark and the wider team to build on that foundation. There is a significant opportunity to develop new partnerships, anticipate where the market is heading and connect The Unit’s capabilities with businesses that can benefit from them.
“I’m really looking forward to getting started and playing my part in the next stage of The Unit’s growth.”
Casey added: “Fiona has a proven ability to identify opportunities, bring the right people together and turn strategy into execution, and we’re absolutely delighted to welcome her to the team.”
Earlier this month, The Unit opened an expanded Moldovan HQ in the capital of Chișinău.
The supplier has almost 100 staff based out of the tech hub. The Unit also has offices in Ireland, Gibraltar and the US.
