PrizePicks agrees partnership with MLB franchise the Houston Astros
Operator becomes 2022 World Series winners’ official daily fantasy sports partner a month after renewing deal with the Atlanta Braves
PrizePicks has penned a deal with the Houston Astros that will see the operator become its official daily fantasy sports (DFS) partner.
As part of the agreement, PrizePicks branding will be plastered around Daikin Park with both static and rotational signage.
Alongside that, the DFS operator will be featured on the franchise’s Astros Radio Network with a sponsored “More or Less” segment before each game.
Fans will also have the opportunity to win a $10,000 free PrizePicks lineups and tickets to a future home Astros game, but only when the team wears their Nike City Connect uniforms and when the franchise plays at home on a Monday.
Mike Quigley, PrizePicks chief marketing officer, said: “This partnership is all about bringing more fun and bigger rewards to PrizePicks players in Houston.
“We’re rolling out new promotions and experiences that make following the Astros even more exciting for fans — both at the ballpark and at home.”
Matt Richardson, Astros VP of corporate partnerships, added: “We are thrilled to add PrizePicks as an official Astros partner.
“PrizePicks continues to invest in Major League Baseball and is committed to engaging fantasy sports fans in both a responsible and fun way.”
The partnership with a Texan sports team comes after partnerships in California with the San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants.
Texas and California remain the largest US states without a form of legalized sports betting, although DFS is permitted.
The deal with the Astros also follows last month’s announcement that the operator had renewed its sponsorship deal with the Atlanta Braves through to 2028.
Also in April, PrizePicks said it was planning to invest $50m into several responsible gaming initiatives throughout 2025.
