Investment firm XST Capital appoints ex-Affinity Interactive boss to advisory role
Andrei Scrivens joins the firm, which consulted on Rivalry’s strategic review, as a senior adviser after serving in C-suite roles at Affinity Interactive for five years
Investment banking firm XST Capital has announced the appointment of former Affinity Interactive CFO and CEO Andrei Scrivens as the investment firm’s latest senior adviser.
Scrivens joins the business after working in C-suite roles at Nevada-based operator Affinity Interactive for the last five years.
He initially joined as CFO in May 2019, before transitioning to the CEO role from January 2023 onwards.
Prior to his time in the gaming sector, Scrivens amassed significant experience in the private equity (PE) space.
He spent seven years as managing director at PE firm Z Capital Group between 2012 and 2019.
This followed a spell as a director at fellow PE fund Chilmark Partners from 2001 to 2012.
Joel Simkins, XST Capital founder and CEO, said: “I’m excited to announce that Andrei Scrivens is joining XST Capital Group as a senior adviser.
“Andrei brings more than 25 years spanning private equity, corporate transformation, and senior operating leadership in gaming, a rare mix of capital markets fluency and hands-on operating expertise.
“Andrei has sat on every side of the table that matters to our clients: investor, board director, CEO, and CFO.
“As our clients raise capital and engage with private equity firms, family offices, and institutional providers across gaming, Andrei gives us an insider’s understanding of how these partners think, underwrite, and create value. That’s a meaningful edge for the founders and management teams we represent.
“As senior adviser, Andrei will support XST’s clients on strategic and operational guidance, capital structuring, investor engagement, and value-creation execution. Welcome Andrei; excited to have you along for the ride.”
Simkins, formerly of Truist, Credit Suisse, Macquarie and Houlihan Lokey, founded XST in 2024. Maxwell Gover, former Oppenheimer and Wells Fargo director, joined as MD last September.
Scrivens becomes the latest XST Capital appointment from the gaming industry this year.
Former Everi Holdings EVP Dean Ehrlich also joined the business as a senior adviser in March.
Last year, XST Capital was named as an adviser during Toronto-listed firm Rivalry’s strategic review to maximize long-term stakeholder value.
Said strategic review bled over into 2026, with Rivalry revamping its senior leadership team in April.
Rivalry’s interim CFO Demi Abidogun-Benson, COO Kevin Wimer and chief technology officer Ryan White all resigned during the month.
Stephen Rigby, Steven Isenberg, White and Wimer also resigned from the company’s board of directors.
