Hard Rock Bet expands into Colorado to ramp up US presence
Launch in the Centennial State marks the operator’s ninth US state launch, while firm’s president says local players will “love” the sportsbook’s UX
Hard Rock Bet has confirmed it is live in Colorado, meaning the operator now boasts a presence in nine US states.
The Seminole Tribe-owned operator, which holds a sports betting monopoly in Florida, is also live in Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, New Jersey, Ohio, Tennessee, and Virginia.
The expansion into Colorado will take the total number of operators live in the state to 13, with Hard Rock Bet joining the likes of bet365, DraftKings, FanDuel, and BetMGM in the market.
Last year, Betsson and ClutchBet both exited the state, while Jake Paul-owned Betr retains a market-access deal to go live.
As part of Hard Rock Bet’s launch in Colorado, the sportsbook is welcoming new players with $150 worth of bonus bets, providing they wager $5 first.
Additionally, Colorado players will be able to engage with Hard Rock Bet’s Legendary Rewards Drop service, a newly launched online rewards program guaranteeing users bonus bets, parlay insurance, and promotions.
Users can earn credits for each bet wagered, progressing to different levels, with a more lucrative reward accessible the higher the level reached.
Matt Primeaux, Hard Rock Bet’s executive managing director, president and chief revenue officer (CRO), explained: “Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook is bringing an exciting new experience to Colorado players, with deep betting markets on all major sporting events plus local favorites like table tennis and MMA.
“With our top-rated platform, weekly Legendary Reward Drops, and integration into Unity by Hard Rock, we’re confident that Coloradans are going to love the Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook experience.”
Earlier this year, Colorado agreed to cull the promo bet tax deduction for operators, while the GGR rate remains at 10%.
In other Hard Rock news, the Seminole Tribe operator bolstered the marketing leadership lineup of its digital arm, with the additions of former Better Collective head Sarah Durkin and ex-Caesars Entertainment VP Zachary Sold.
At the time, Primeaux said: “Hard Rock Digital is in growth mode, and we’re thrilled to be able to attract top talent like Sarah and Zachary to continue to innovate and accelerate our trajectory.
“With their years of industry experience and past success, we look forward to them leading our marketing teams to new heights in these vitally important areas.”
