BetMGM renews multi-year partnership with MLB
Deal between parent company MGM Resorts International and Major League Baseball sees operator continue to enjoy advertising and marketing benefits across the league’s platforms
MGM Resorts International and BetMGM have renewed their partnerships with Major League Baseball (MLB) via multi-year extensions.
The initial agreement in 2018 saw the Las Vegas casino giant and BetMGM become the league’s first official gaming and sports betting partners.
The extension will see MGM Resorts International remain as MLB’s exclusive integrated resort and casino partner, developing and growing MLB Awards Week held in Las Vegas in November.
BetMGM, the MGM Resorts International and Entain JV, will market its brand and offerings across various MLB platforms including the league’s website, network, and digital portfolio.
It will also continue its sponsorship integration on Apple TV for baseball content, as well as the development and offering of MLB-themed casino games on the operator’s casino digital platform.
Matt Prevost, BetMGM chief revenue officer, said: “Major League Baseball offers one of the most engaging, data‑rich experiences in sports, and this renewal underscores our shared commitment to innovation, integrity, and responsibility.
“Together, we’re enhancing how fans experience the game, from defining moments on the field to legendary experiences at marquee events like MLB All‑Star Week.”
Uzma Rawn Dowler, MLB chief marketing officer and SVP of global corporate partnerships, added: “MGM Resorts and BetMGM have been great partners to baseball for nearly a decade.
“We’re excited to continue our relationship and together help create more unique experiences for our fans.”
The two parties extended the multi-year partnership back in July 2022 and then again in October 2024, when the operator penned a deal with MLB that saw BetMGM branding visible in every bullpen across the 2024 playoffs.
Over the last few years, BetMGM has also struck various deals with franchises including the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Houston Astros, the Cincinnati Reds, and the Boston Red Sox.
Hall of fame star Derek Jeter was named a brand ambassador last year.
The expansion comes as other sports betting operators pull back on sponsorships, while there remains pressure on marketing spend from prediction markets.
Polymarket was named as an MLB partner in March, becoming the league’s official prediction market exchange.
